Integumentary system
Functions
One main function of the integumentary system is to protect your body from injury and infection. Your skin provides a shield for unwanted bacteria so it does not enter your body. Another function is to regulate body temperature. It regulates your temperature through your sweat which cool your body off. This is also how it performs another function which is to remove waste products from your body. Its last function is to protect your body from UV light which comes from the sun. Your skin again provides a barrier so sunlight does not hurt your organs and will produce melonin to protect itself form UV light.
